SAIPAR is proud to launch Vol I of the Judgement Commentary Unit (JCU). The JCU provides commentaries on select judgments of the Supreme Court (and in exceptional cases, non-terminal courts) in the region. The purpose of the unit is to raise the discourse around the jurisprudence of these important courts and in so doing, stimulate debate on topics of legal significance and relevance.This inaugural volume deals only with Zambian jurisprudence. Launch of Zambia’s first Handbook on Juvenile Law in Zambia, 6 Aug 2014
The official launch of Zambia’s first Handbook on Juvenile Law in Zambia took place in Lusaka on 6 August 2014. The event was hosted by the Law Association in Zambia in conjunction with SAIPAR. Designed with judicial and legal officers in mind, this Handbook is meant to be a practical and user-friendly guide the law that governs juveniles in contact with the law.

Government revokes SI 33 of 2012 and SI 55 of 2013
Statutory Instrument No. 33 (SI 33) prohibits the quoting, paying, demanding or receiving foreign currency as legal tender for goods, services or any other domestic transactions.
